On the 16th of August 2018, PULSe partner Ziebel SA will present PULSe project technology at the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) August Monthly Luncheon, which will take place in Oklahoma City (Oklahoma, USA), on the 16th of August 2018.
Luncheons from the SPE are built about particular and definite topics, bringing promising prospects of meeting companies specifically interested in the technology offered by PULSe. The upcoming event in particular will focus on a practical example of optical fiber distributed sensing system applied in well diagnostics.

The activites of the PULSe project will be presented by ZIebel at URTeC 2017, the International Unconventional Resources Technology Conference, at Houston, Texas (USA), from 23-25 July 2018. For details please go to:
Bologna, Italy, June 2018
For the development of activities in the European Project Pervasive Ubiquitous Lightwave Sensor (PULSe) we are looking for interested partners for helping with the project activities, in particular related to Workpackage 5 (Market uptake support tools) and Workpackage 6 (Exploitation & Dissemination), please refer to the Workpackage description in the relevant Website pages.
The ideal partner would:
- be a company/institution focusing on photonics, optical fibers and fiber optic sensors,
- possess an experience in result dissemination, event and workshop organization,
- exhibit a robust track record in contributing or participating to European projects, especially those linked to Horizon 2020 Programme and Fast Track to Innovation,
- have solid connections with industry, being able at the same time to carry out the market uptake as well as fostering industrial exploitation of project results.
Interested partners can send an expression of interest in the Contact page of the PULSe Website to the project Coordinator, who will provide more details on related terms and activities to be developed.
Reseachers from PULSe team have presented the outcomes of the PULSe project at FOTONICA 2018 conference and exhibition in Lecce, Italy, May 23-25 2018.
FOTONICA is the 20th Italian National Conference on Photonic Technologies. The Conference is the meeting place of the Italian Photonic Community where the most advanced achievements of research in photonics are presented and discussed. The Conference covers all aspects of photonics, with a particular emphasis on applications in several fields, including telecom, sensors, energy saving, lighting and health.
The results presented at FOTONICA 2018 included details on the laser source as well as on Brillouin distributed fiber sensing measurements using the BOTDA distributed sensor developed in PULSe,
FOTONICA 2018 is aimed at an audience of professionals active in photonics, including researchers, manufacturers and technology users, as well as analysts and investors interested in this Sector.
Scientists of PULSe consortium will participate to the Conference on Laser and Electro-Optics (CLEO, May 5-10 2018), the most important academic and industrial forum on lasers science to photonic applications. Results of PULSe project developments will be shown at the San Jose Convention Center, San Jose, California, USA, located in the heart of the Silicon Valley.
With comprehensive, peer-reviewed technical sessions and market-focused programming, CLEO is the world’s premier international forum to learn about innovative advances, research and new technologies from the laser science industry.

The National Agency for the Promotion of European Research will organize, on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Research and with the participation of the European Commission officials, the National Info Days for the new calls of the European Research & Innovation funding programme Horizon 2020 (Work Program 2018-2020).
The Info day on 4th December 2017 will be addressed to Italian subjects wishing to participate to the Fast Track to Innovation within the deadlines set in the three year period 2018-2020. The day will focus on highlighting the main characteristics and the elements of success that characterized the first two years of implementation of the tool, and disseminating to participants the good practices useful in setting up effective Fast Track partnerships. This will be achieved through presentation of selected successful cases, promoting the experience of industries, SMEs, start-ups, universities and research centres.
