PULSe at EPIC Meeting in Limoges, France (February 21-22 2019)

PULSe researchers will present the project at the EPIC meeting on specialty optical fibers, that will be hosted by GLOphotonics and will take place at the ESTER technopole in Limoges, France, on 21-22 February 2019.

EPIC is the industry association that promotes the sustainable development of organisations working in the field of photonics in Europe, with members encompassing the entire value chain from LED lighting, Photovoltaic solar energy, Photonics Integrated Circuits, Optical components, Lasers, Sensors, Imaging, Displays, Projectors, Optic fiber, and other photonic related technologies.

In this meeting advancements and new developments in specialty fibers will be discussed, including topics such as multi-core fibers, photonic crystal fibers, fiber lasers, nonlinear optics and fiber sensors.

PULSe at SPIE Photonics West (February 2-7 2019, San Francisco)

Reseachers from PULSe team will present the outcomes of the PULSe project at SPIE Photonics West 2019 conference and exhibition which will take place from February 2 to February 7 2019 at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA, USA.

SPIE Photonics West is the world’s largest photonics technologies event, covering a range of topics including biomedical optics, biophotonics, industrial lasers, optoelectronics, microfabrication, MOEMS-MEMS and displays, and it was attended by more than 23,000 people

In particular, CNR researchers will present the innovative laser source developed in PULSe and its enhanced performance, showcasing its use in Brillouin distributed fiber sensing measurements using the BOTDA distributed sensor, also developed in PULSe, as an example of its potential uses.
